Most of the headlines you read about suburban retail today are apocalyptic.  Mall stalwart anchors are filing for bankruptcy and disappearing into the ether.  Malls that are fortunate enough to be well located and in strong markets are being demolished to make way for mixed use communities and lifestyle destinations.  But what if demolition isn’t the answer for everyone?  What about those malls that have big box vacancies, but are holistically still going strong?  Do you demolish and start from scratch, or evaluate the site’s opportunities to be reconfigured and expanded?

Come hear our panel of experts discuss our local mall economy and how wiping the slate clean isn’t always the answer.

The panel discussion will be followed by optional behind-the-scenes tours of Montgomery Mall and Cabin John Village.
