Mission

NAIOP REEL (Real Estate Emerging Leaders) is dedicated to the professional development of up-and-coming members of the real estate community age 35 and under.

 

Goals

  • Create opportunities for young Real Estate professionals to develop relationships with their peers through networking and other venues.
  • Foster the professional development of the Real Estate industry’s future leaders.
  • Offer informative educational sessions
  • Provide mentoring opportunities with seasoned professionals at the top of their game.

Christina Sailer-Dolan Smith, Manager, Pursuits, HITT Contracting


Christina is a pursuits associate on the marketing team at HITT Contracting, a leading commercial construction company with a national presence throughout the United States, headquartered in the Washington, DC area. She is responsible for providing marketing support to HITT's corporate office interiors, hospitality, and Richmond, Virginia-based team including responses to RFQ/RFPs, interview presentations, and award submissions. Christina graduated from the Catholic University of America with a bachelor’s in architecture and attended Georgetown University for her master’s in urban and regional planning. In addition to NAIOP DC|MD, Christina is an active member of SMPS DC.

 Nate Cannon, Marketing and Operations Coordinator, Akridge

Nate Cannon is a marketing and operations coordinator for Akridge. He develops and executes property marketing initiatives and manages Akridge’s Client-engagement program,

Niche. Nate has over five years of experience in commercial real estate.

 

Nate is an active member of the NAIOP DC | MD Real Estate Emerging Leaders Committee. Nate graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

   
  

George Hassan, Director of Business Development, ARCO Design/Build

 

George Hassan the Director of Business Development for ARCO Design/Build, George Hassan brings over 8 years of experience in the construction industry. With expertise in strategic and operational marketing and building client relationships, George plays a crucial role in driving ARCO’s new business opportunities and helping future clients find solutions to their needs. George manages client relationships in the DC area and Northern Virginia region. Prior to joining ARCO, George served as the Director of Business Development for a Concrete subcontractor serving the DMV. George graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a double major in Business and Labor Employment Relations."

   
  

Brittany Hult, Project Designer II, sshape

 

Ms. Hult is a talented and passionate interior designer who brings her resourcefulness, drive, and proactive communication skills to every project. Brittany favors timeless and sophisticated designs rich in color and texture that connect with the client’s mission and purpose. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and other architectural design software, Brittany applies her talents across many design disciplines, liaising between clients and consultants with ease. She has worked on many different project types, including corporate headquarters, government, building amenities, and hospitality spaces. Always seeking to develop creative and workable design solutions for clients, Brittany uses creativity and innovation to design unique, memorable, and functional spaces that inspire.

   

 

Tyler Kawakami, Real Estate Analyst, Wilkes Artis Chartered

 

Tyler joined Wilkes Artis Chartered as a Real Estate Analyst in 2024. He has experience in all administrative appeal phases of real property tax appeals for commercial, multifamily, and residential properties in Maryland.  Tyler has assisted our attorneys with case preparation and presentation before the Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation and the Maryland Property Tax Appeals Boards. Tyler is from Honolulu, HI and graduated from The George Washington University where he studied finance with a minor in computer science.

   

 

Pat McCrary, Partner & Senior Preconstruction Manager, Coakley & Williams Construction

Pat is a Partner & Senior Preconstruction Manager at Coakley & Williams Construction (CWC). Pat is recognized for his expertise in conceptual estimating and early design planning, ensuring a seamless preconstruction phase. Pat's clients in the education, life science, multifamily, interiors, and commercial sectors benefit from his guidance and expertise as he helps them develop and define their programs while keeping projects on budget. Pat graduated from East Carolina University with a BS in Construction Management. In addition to NAIOP DC|MD, Pat also serves on Associated Builders and Contractors XYZ Committee and East Carolina University’s Construction Management Advisory Board.

   

 

Michael Odum, Development Manager, Akridge


Michael is Development Associate responsible for overseeing and managing projects from conception, entitlement, design, financing, permitting, construction and occupancy.  Focused on development in both Washington DC and Arlington VA, Michael collaborates closely with building design and operations teams to create sustainable developments, that are responsive to project requirements, and carried out to promote thoughtful and harmonious relations. He also actively coordinates with public entities to ensure his developments are responsive and beneficial to the surrounding community.
